When you are notified by e-mail, that your customer has made a purchase, the information will be available on our server. You will have to enter your merchant account number, and for security, your password. Once you are in the Retrieve portion of the server, you just download the file and you print the check right on your printer, and then deposit the check to your bank account TODAY.  No signature is required to deposit the check into your bank account under the Uniform Commercial Code. Only merchants with the right account number and password can enter our secure server!

Yes, and possibly no... The MICR characters must be readable magnetically, even though much of the banking industry is now using optical scanners. However, many areas still rely on magnetic scanning, and this is where the problem lies. All laser toner has magnetic qualities, but the level of magnetism is low. Laser toner with high magnetic qualities (called MICR Toner) is readily available, although not at your local office supply store. We can furnish true MICR toner to you at competitive prices. There is one possible solution to this requirement that some have used successfully. Just before printing checks, increase your toner intensity to a high level, thereby depositing more toner than normal on the checks. This may be sufficient to do the trick! If your bank notifies you of problems, then this obviously did not work for you, and you will need to purchase special MICR toner. HINT: If your laser printer uses toner cartridges, use the MICR toner cartridge only when you are ready to print checks! Use your regular cartridge for all other printing.

MICR stands for Magnetic Ink Character Recognition.  Electronic scanners can 'read' the printed magnetic qulities of these numbers at the bottom of the check for processing.  Most of the nations banks, use magnetic readers, but most of the banks do rely on Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to read the MICR fonts. Any laser printer that emulates a Hewlett Packard You could use a ink or bubble jet type printer, but you must be aware that these type of printers do not have the capability to use MICR toner. MICR toner may be a requirement of your bank. For users of the ELECTRONIC FUNDS TRANSFER OPTION, a laser printer is not a requirement, except for Credit Union checks. Credit Union checks make up a very low volume of usage.
